We can't sew. We ran out of paint. We've got no clay.
But we can paste! Lots of little annoying paper leftovers + lots of glue + one friday =

TO DO:
Choose a canvas and decide on a simple template for the picture. Draw it lightly on the canvas before you start.
The kids can help with the snipping and pasting - better to give them complementary papers so it all works. Sort the papers into their colour groups and decided where to place.
Use glue on each individual piece as it is placed on instead of smothering the whole canvas with glue.
To finish, apply 2-3 layers of Modpodge or something similar.
Make it a race to cover every white space like a jigsaw puzzle.
Hang and enjoy!

Wow! Who needs to paint! That looks fantastic.
That looks really great Carli.
That's a beautiful collage!! Do you do commissioned work? :)
GORGEOUS! I'll swap you some bunting for a carli original :-)
You are so clever!! Good on ya!!
Aren't you supposed to be hitting the books? :o) haha
I love it so much- did you cut the bits of paper, or rip them? how much glue and how did you apply it? I love it so much- well done!
This is so beautiful Carli, and different, I don't think I've ever seen anything quite like it. It looks like it must have taken ages!
Hi there!
I found your amazing project through The Crafty Crow. I would love to get it a try and was wondering if you have a certain glue that you would suggest we try.
Thanks so much!
Christine
Christine - I think any craft glue would work, even a glue stick. But not clag glue (that thick white stuff for pre-schoolers). Modpodge is a glue and a varnish in one so you could use that to glue and seal it if you want - I know it's readily available just about everywhere.
Amazing! I've linked to you in today's blog post. :o)

This is just so very cool! I just love it. I'm so tempted to try it myself but I can only imagine how it would turn out. Yours is perfect!
